QUALITY ASSURANCE
PROVIDER RE-ACCREDITATION/SITE SURVEY
This exercise is to re-assess the facilities of the providers on THT network.
QUESTIONNAIRE ASSESSMENT
In addition to the re-accreditation the provider complete a questionnaire indicating what THT does well and what need to be improved on; it assist us in updating our database as there are some information retrieved in the process. The provider is also able to vote in its willingness to continue on THT scheme
PERFORMANCE REVIEW
This is done by comparing the provider’s performance with the set standard and this we do by reviewing the following:
1. Average revisit for minor ailment per month e.g. Malaria
2. Rate of enrollee’s growth
3. Average rate of primary care cases referred
4. Outcome of treatments
5. Prevention of complications e.g. Malaria in pregnancy
6. Health education/Family wellness strategies.
7. Number of genuine complaint against the provider from enrollees.
PROVIDER RE-EDUCATION/WORKSHOPS
On site provider re-education is carried out twice a year where we conduct in- house interactive session with the providers and some of its key staff. Also THT in collaboration with some international bodies organizes training workshops regularly to update and widens providers’ understanding of manage health care.
These exercises are to ensure that the providers are well informed and in tune with new developments in managed care health; it also ensures that providers regularly improve upon or at least maintain their standards. It is expected that the beneficiaries are the clients.
