Fee-for-service (Blue Health Cover)

The Fee-for-service (Blue Health Cover) model is better suited to Corporate and SME clients or individual clients with medium to high budgets for healthcare. The comprehensive benefits offered, cover a broad range of primary, secondary and tertiary health treatment including the ability for members to access any hospital within the network and the possibility of access to worldwide care and international evacuations. Liberty Blue is our flagship fee-for-service product range with a client base of almost 30,000 members attracted by its comprehensive benefits. It is proving very popular amongst middle to high level management staff at some of the leading local and multi-national organisations in Nigeria.

If you are a corporate with more than 30 employees or a small to medium sized enterprise (SME) with 29 or less employees, you are eligible to choose from any of the healthcare plans under the Fee-for-service model. All the plans cover day-to-day (outpatient) and hospital (inpatient) as well as major disease medical care, with emergency evacuation included in the two top tier plans.

If you are looking for a plan for yourself or your family, you are eligible to choose from Blue Classic, Blue Plus or Blue Elite plans under the Fee-for-service model. All the plans cover day-to-day (outpatient) and hospital (inpatient) and major disease medical care, with two of the plans including emergency evacuation.

a Blue Lite
This is our entry level option which offers in-country cover to people living in Nigeria for day-to-day treatment, chronic care and hospitalisation. Members on this plan can only access care in Nigeria from selected providers within our general contracted provider network and within benefit limits. See the full list of benefits here.

b Blue Classic
This is our basic option which offers in-country cover to people living in Nigeria for day-to-day treatment, chronic care and hospitalisation. c Blue Plus
This is a pan-African benefit option that offers more comprehensive cover for day-to-day treatment, chronic care and hospitalisation and is also ideal for people who travel regularly across Africa and require extensive healthcare coverage across the continent. Members on this plan can access care within our general contracted provider network in Nigeria and have the ability to electively access care across the African continent and India on a member re-imbursement basis, within benefit limits. d Blue Elite
This is a worldwide benefit option that offers supreme cover for day-to-day treatment, chronic care and hospitalisation. It is ideal for expatriates and for people seeking worldwide coverage and includes international emergency evacuation. Members can access care within our general contracted provider network in Nigeria and have the ability to electively access care worldwide, excluding North America on a member re-imbursement basis, within benefit limits.
